Alex E. Hill is Director of Music and Liturgy at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Cary NC, where he plays the organ and directs multiple choirs, including a 16-voice polyphony choir and a growing Gregorian Chant program. He is a professional singer, a published composer with CanticaNova Publications, and an orchestral conductor with repertoire encompassing symphonies, concertos, full-length ballets, and more. He holds degrees in composition (B.M.) from the University of North Texas, and in conducting (M.M.) from Penn State where he also served on the faculty teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in music theory, orchestration, counterpoint, and conducting. Alex and his wife Andrea, a ballet teacher and choreographer, have been married for 38 years and have six children.
